Leadership and Staff
Who we are.
Pastor Justin Walker earned his associates degree in Religion, his bachelors in Theology, and his Masters from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary out of Dothan, Alabama. Prior to planting Salt and Light, he spent seven years serving as youth minister at Lagrange Heights Baptist Church. Following God’s call to plant a church, he and a church plant team opened Salt and Light Baptist on June 5 of 2011. A dedicated minister and servant of the Lord, he is husband to Sarah, father to Rebekah, Jennifer, Elijah, Jeremiah, Titus and Phoebe, as well as co-owner and upholsterer at Walker Fabrics in Crestwood.
Tom and his wife Carmen have been with Salt and Light Baptist from the very beginning. They’ve been a part of every step that God has led us through. Their leadership and service has been essential to our congregation. Tom and Carmen raised 4 children of their own, and have been long-time leaders and teachers. Tom has been a deacon with Salt and Light since 2015.
Tom works at the Ford Truck plant as a millwright, and Carmen works in the Henry County School system.
